I am delighted to be able to welcome you to the St Anne's School website. St Anne's is a Catholic Systemic School in the Archdiocese of Sydney that has been offering a comprehensive Catholic education to the children of Strathfield South since 1957.
St Anne's Parish has a rich history with strong links to the early Australian Church. The land was granted to Father John Therry in 1837. The foundation stone was laid in 1941. Father Therry sold parts of the grant to finance the building of the original church. The streets of this subdivision were named after saints and dignitaries of the church. This heritage listed building was completed in 1862. It was restored in 1996 and converted for use by the school.
Our school motto "For Love Of God And Others" calls us to live out the Gospel values of Jesus - to be active Christians of the 21st century. We endeavour to do this in an environment which supports, cares and challenges each member of the community.
At St Anne's we value the development of the whole child. This is reflected in an integrated and contemporary learning program developed by a dedicated, competent and enthusiastic staff. Particular emphasis is placed on the areas of literacy, numeracy and religious education as we believe these build strong foundations for a positive future. Our parents are very supportive and assist in many ways across the school. We acknowledge and appreciate all they do as we work together in partnership.
At St Anne's we look to the future with hope and enthusiasm. We endeavour to ensure that our students develop a love of learning which they will carry throughout their lives.
